‘Sex and the Single Parent’ is a podcast by comedians Melissa Story and Precious Chong interviewing single parents about the ups and downs of raising kids on your own. Since starting the podcast in 2013, they’ve talked to comedians, actors, step-moms, single parents by choice, single parents by accident, people in polyamorous relationships and more. Both single parents themselves, they feel that the podcast is a great resource for people who find themselves in this predicament. It’s helpful to hear how other people are handling serious issues like custody or hating on your ex to the mundane like keeping track of your kid’s backpack or navigating new relationships and dating when all you want to do is sleep. Listening to the podcast is like hanging out with your best friend and having a super intense, funny, all out share, t.m.i. talk about your life and love, no holds bar. Some of our listeners don’t even have kids they just like what we do.
