Stuart Coxe, President and CEO

Stuart is one of Canada’s most sought after creative minds in unscripted, factual and original content. Before founding Antica, Stuart spent 20 years as an award winning producer, director and executive in news and entertainment at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). There he was responsible for launching dozens of shows, docs and hit series – including Dragons Den, CBC’s first ever factual entertainment program.

Since leaving the public broadcaster, Stuart has produced many feature documentaries, created several TV shows and series, and developed different projects for international audiences, including a new format with Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Voice, Shark Tank). The show was recently picked up by ABC in the US and is scheduled to air in 2017.

Currently, Stuart and the Antica team have several exciting projects on the go including a new series for CBC (Becoming Canadian – to air in 2017), several digital ventures (branded content and for broadcasters), and Secret Path, the emotional and notable animated film from The Tragically Hip’s Gord Downie.

Trevor Hammond, Executive Producer

For more than 15 years, Trevor has helped produce some of the biggest shows in Canada. He has been a senior member of production teams (including head writer, producer and director) for several hit series including, Canadian Idol, Battle of the Blades, Big Brother Canada and Top Chef Canada. He was also a lead member on production teams for huge live broadcasts like the Juno Awards (4 times) and two Olympics (Athens and Turin). Trevor has also worked in original factual entertainment and has helped develop dozens of treatments and shows for several different production companies and networks, including CTV, W, ABC, CBC, Slice, Teletoon and History.

On top of hundreds of hours of network TV, Trevor also has a background in radio (he was Trevor Whatever way back when the Mix 99.9 was still The Mix!) and has more recently begun to focus on branded content: as interstitials, in traditional TV and as stand-alone entertainment. This work led to Trevor receiving the President’s Award from Corus Entertainment. From comedy and docs to branded, reality and heartfelt entertainment, Trevor’s focus has always been to deliver compelling, relatable and entertaining stories.

Jamie McMahon, Director / Producer

Jamie must have a pretty impressive hat collection – because he wears a lot of them for Antica. As director, producer and even editor, Jamie has worked on some of our biggest projects, including Becoming Canadian, Secret Path and our WeShot projects. Jamie also helped develop and produce Canada Rising, a real time CBC series that told the epic story of Canada’s national basketball team as they made a shot at Rio 2016. That series has since been turned into compelling branded content.

Before joining Antica, Jamie spent time as a producer at YTV and was Creative Producer at a boutique creative design studio.

Dean Perlmutter, Supervising Producer

A veteran producer in both film and TV, Dean’s experience dates back to when he was a teenager working with the FX department on Starship Invasions where he was there to help build epic scenes of destruction! Since then he’s spent less time destroying things, and more time building up dozens of big time productions. His credits include Dream Funded (a CTV pilot that was picked up by ABC), Compete To Eat (Cooking Network), World’s Greenest Homes (HGTV), Mayday (National Geographic) and Tales From The Organ Trade (HBO).

Dean also has a wealth of experience driving scripted productions, including features The Five Senses, Detention and Partners In Action. He has also worked on dramatic television productions like Jonestown Paradise Lost (A&E) and Dangerous Persuasions (Discovery).

Sarah Levinsky, Production Coordinator

While Sarah is a soon to be graduate of the Radio and Television (BA) program at Ryerson University, she has actually already graduated into the real world of media production! Since starting her career with Antica 3 years ago, she has worked on several different shows and projects – in several different roles. Whatever the task – she’ll take it on! So far her to do list has included managing different projects, development, production, post production, digital, and graphic design.

While she helps take care of all things Antica, Sarah is currently focusing on helping produce the Antica original series, Becoming Canadian (TV and digital elements).

Laura Regher, Executive Producer

Antica Podcast Network

While Laura has an extensive background in television and digital production, she happily keeps making her way back to the wonderful world of audio! As a producer at CBC Radio for more than a decade, she strived to tell stories that tied listeners to their radio right until the end. Her philosophy is “the longer they sit in their parked cars listening, the better!” She has brought that way of thinking, along with all her producing talents, to the Antica Podcast Network.

Laura knows that at the heart of every podcast on the network (be it about business, global affairs or debunking myths) is storytelling and riveting radio.

Yael Berger, Digital Media Producer

Having covered federal politics in Ottawa for more than 6 years, Yael is very familiar with telling important Canadian stories. In 2010 she started as a journalist for Parliament Now and The Lobby Monitor. By 2013, she was editor of The Lobby Monitor. Leading up to the 2015 federal election, Yael began working on the radio show and podcast Everything is Political with Evan Solomon on SiriusXM Canada. Following that, Yael continued as a radio producer for CBC Ottawa.

Yael received her Bachelors in Journalism and Political Science with honours from Carleton University, and her Masters in Political Theory from the University of Toronto. She also earned a certificate in military journalism from the University of Calgary. As Antica’s Media Producer, Yael is focusing on several projects like Becoming Canadian and the Antica Podcast Network.
